Research Project: U.S. Fiscal Policy Relating to Economic Growth and Fiscal Consolidation
Takatsugu Haneo holds a B.A. in Economics from Keio University. He joined Keidanren (Japan Business Federation) in 2010 and has since drafted Keidanren’s policy proposals in various fields. Mr. Haneo’s most recent position was Assistant Manager of the Economic Policy Bureau, where he was engaged in macroeconomic and social security policy. He has also been involved in developing environmental and energy policy at the Environmental Policy Bureau. Additionally, he was in charge of preparing Keidanren’s board meetings at the General Administration Bureau. During the 2022-23 academic year Mr. Haneo plans to conduct research on U.S. fiscal policy as it relates to economic growth and fiscal consolidation.
