Sophie Welsh received her B.A. in Astrophysics with a secondary field in Psychology from Harvard College, and Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. She has served as a virtual intern for the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs at the State Department, a Resident Assistant at Showa Boston, and has also supported faculty research projects ranging from Chinese coal investments in Bangladesh, Japan’s constitutional revision, and the role of political leadership in addressing global climate regime. Outside of her work, Sophie has been active in music and dance throughout her life, and is interested in musical theater and opera.
