Research Project: Automation, COVID-19, and Regulatory Reform
Nozomi Suzuki holds a Bachelor of Public Law from the University of Tokyo. Having served in the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) since 2008, Mr. Suzuki’s most recent position had him stationed as Principal Deputy Director at the Machine Parts & Tooling Industries Office within the Manufacturing Industries Bureau. His previous positions at METI include Principal Deputy Director for Policy Coordination in the Japan Economic Revitalization Bureau. Mr. Suzuki’s research during the 2020–21 academic year will examine regulatory reform in the era of automation and COVID-19.
