Research Project: Resilience in the Liberal International Order: Japan’s Role in Promoting Global Economic Cooperation

Dr. Cheung received her B.A. and M.Sc. from the University of London, and her Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Southern California. Her areas of research include international and comparative political economy, with a focus on the politics of trade liberalization and central banking. Her research has been supported by the Japan Foundation and the Association for Japan-U.S. Community Exchange, and her co-authored works have appeared in the Socio-Economic ReviewJapan Decides 2017, and Comparative Connections. Her research project for the 2021–22 year is titled “Resilience in the Liberal International Order: Japan’s Role in Promoting Global Economic Cooperation.”
