Research Project: Government-Business Collaboration and Development Strategies in East Asia
Mr. Hemmi earned his Bachelor of Environmental Information from Keio University, and M.B.A. from ESCP-Europe. At Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC, he is a Partner, Head of Global Business Intelligence, and member of Global Economist Council (Japan lead). In that capacity, he has led strategy consultants and research teams on ASEAN, Japan’s policy in Asia, market entry strategies in Asia (such as Myanmar’s banking sector), infrastructure business, and Mekong industrial development. He has also developed expertise on emerging markets as a Manager at A.T. Kearney, and on country risk analysis and Asian Bond Market Initiative (ABMI) as Deputy Director at Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). At Harvard, Mr. Hemmi will investigate government-business collaboration and development strategies in East Asia.
