Research Project: The Nuclear Dimension of U.S.-Japan Security and Energy Cooperation
Mr. Nogami earned his B.A. in Economics from Kobe University of Commerce. He has been an investigative journalist for the Asahi Shimbun and has written articles focusing on the Fukushima nuclear disaster, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), Bank of Japan, and former Osaka mayor Toru Hashimoto. His co-authored books and articles have won several prestigious awards, including the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan Freedom of the Press Award (2015), Sakata Kinen Journalism Award (2014), and the Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association Prize (2010 and 2012), known as “Japan’s Pulitzer Prize.” At Harvard, Mr. Nogami’s research project will examine the nuclear dimension of U.S.-Japan security and energy cooperation.
