Heather holds a M.A. in peace and conflict studies from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland and a B.A. in criminal justice from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. During her time in Northern Ireland, she worked for INCORE (International Conflict Research Institute) on a program designed to help community leaders deal with the legacy of the region’s conflict. Prior to this, she worked for over three years as a victim witness advocate for the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. Heather volunteers as a mentor and English tutor with The School of Leadership Afghanistan (SOLA) and is a founding member of the Boston Advisory Board of Children in Crossfire, an NGO working with children in East Africa.
